Stoa Buddhist Philosophy Group Meeting
February 26, 2020 @ 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm EST
Come and join our friendly group at a cozy book store in Wethersfield on the 2nd and the 4th Wednesdays of the month at 6 p.m..
We are exploring the possibility of integrating both Stoic and Buddhist philosophical traditions into one singular teaching and practice so that participants can receive the benefits from both traditions. The group offers a lively non-academic book discussion format with the guidance of a Stoic practitioner who is also an experienced Buddhist teacher.
The Stoa Buddhist Philosophy Group is open to the public; no Stoic or Buddhist knowledge is necessary.
Our current book is “A Guide to the Good Life: The Ancient Art of Stoic Joy” by William B. Irvine. You can purchase this book at That Book Store. We will cover 5 to 10 pages per meeting.
